Started first ever Composting and Food Recovery programs in Upcounty,  Montgomery County Public Schools, MD

Leads Montgomery County’s largest school‑based food recovery initiative, managing and promoting daily food rescue operations across 120+ MCPS schools in partnership with the MCPS Division of Sustainability and Compliance

Established a countywide network of food recovery partnerships with restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and other businesses to ensure surplus food is rescued and redistributed to the community. 

Composting Program started in 15 schools and 4 in pipeline

State level advocacy- passed SB124 composting grant, collected over 25K postcards in our postcard campaign

County level advocacy- passed composting facility bill (Bill 15-25), worked with community groups and local legislators

>5 million pounds of food waste diverted or recovered by our organization

Founding member of Coalition to Re-Imagine Food Waste, spreading the work to 13 states and 7 countries through our Coalition to Re-Imagine Food Waste
